Luxury cruise beyond the Arctic Circle: aurora borealis
As Chief One, we specialize in organizing unforgettable trips to the North Pole. With us, you can experience a part of the world that is foreign to the most of us and has remained almost untouched. Traveling on a Chief One yacht is first and foremost a close encounter with nature in a classic style, so you certainly won’t forget it. However, what can you expect?
Cruise to the North Pole – what awaits you?
First of all, our expeditions to the regions of Norway are close encounters with nature. Cruising on a Chief One yacht to the Arctic Circle is a chance to see with your own eyes a completely different flora and fauna, which is inaccessible in any other place around the world. Can you imagine, seeing polar bears, herds of seals or orcas in their natural habitat? With our trips you can face the nature that has remained almost untouched by man. Interestingly, there is a natural habitat for reindeer in the northern part of Norway. Our guides, who know their behavior very well, lead participants to strategic places where you can watch these majestic creatures with your own eyes.
In addition, it is impossible not to mention the highlight of our North Pole cruises – the aurora borealis. During trips, you can admire this breathtaking phenomenon away from the lights or the hustle and bustle of the city.
Adventure-style tour – arctic cruise to the polar fjords
Nevertheless, you don’t have to be afraid! The entire cruise to the Norwegian fjords takes place in luxurious conditions. The trip is mainly held in our Chief One yacht. It was built in an American shipyard in 1984 and took part in an expedition around the world. Ron Holland’s one is an aluminum-hulled vessel that reaches speed of 9-10 knots and can reach up to 24 with sails. It managed to visit both the South and North Poles. In addition, thanks to its skilled captain and crew, it has also visited the Marshall Islands and sailed through Cape Horn and Dreak Strait.
On the other hand, the accommodations are luxury guesthouses.
Travels tailored to you
We anticipate several expeditions in the coming year, each with a different purpose and character. If the opportunity to see the animals that live in the Arctic habitat is particularly important to you, “Whale and Orca Watching” for example, would be an excellent choice. However, if you want to visit and experience this unique climate on your own, “Svalbard for tourists and sailors” or “Senja Island, Lofoten, Bodo” should meet your expectations.
